World Trails Film Festival | Poster & Identity Design System

I had the pleasure of working on these visual identity solutions for flexible designs to fit every graphic need. It's a set of rules and color treatments that make up a unified identity, even with color variations and compositional modifications applied.

I started off making the base high contrast illustrations in ink on paper, and digitalized them to recreate a look that would fit the narrative of a world trails film festival. We wanted something that would be found on a trail, a physical quality to it, that would emulate press printing and still have a modern twist. Ink on paper images of different parts of the worlds, using photos from fellow trailsmen as a reference.

We defined colors with good contrast that would extend the color palette available to the festival, beyond the warm tones. Enjoy!
